To the Newcomer

I saw you walk in with your head down, all bruised and battered with your tail between your legs. I know that shame you are wearing, the shame that has your organs in knots and makes you feel like you weigh 700 pounds. I know you feel like the loneliest person in the world rt now and these words are probably futile but pls know you aren’t alone. I’ve been where you are and remembering it makes my stomach turn. I return to the lost little girl I once was that everyone had given up on. Your dirty hair and old makeup remind me of the days I was in survival mode, barely holding onto life. Who cares what I look like I’m alive; 80 lbs, racing heart, shaky hands, sweating.

Oh the knots.
I want you to know that no matter how low you feel rt now, you can turn it all around. Just like that. You have God and recovery and health and joy inside of you already. We all did, we just didn’t know it was there to be had. Deep inside.

Unlearn, peel away the pain, the hurt and trauma that convinced you that you are worthless and deserve this life. There’s an unhealed little girl in there that wrote a script in an attempt to protect herself. That script can be rewritten now, I promise.
You are worthy, you are more than enough and people here will hold your hand and carry you through the physical hell you are experiencing. We will love you until you can love yourself. You are in the rt place darling. The truth tellers welcome you with open arms and we are ready for your truth…when you are. No judgement, only love.
You made it. We had a seat saved just for you and we want you to pls stay. You are the most important person here rt now. You remind us what it was like. We are familiar with the darkness and aren’t afraid to go in there to pull you out into the light. So you can become a conduit of it and remember that you are loved and lovable.
Recovery is a ride and it isn’t always easy or linear but I promise you it’s worth it. This is the beginning for you, this is your rebirth, rehabilitation, revival; the AWAKENING that can bring heaven to earth. So many of us don’t make it here. We are the lucky ones, to have another chance at life…..embrace it then pass it on.💖 #newcomer
